The pineapple fiber in this yarn is obtained from the leaves of the pineapple plant, which would ordinarily be considered as waste and often burned. The fibers used are processed using sustainable methods instead of using harmful chemicals, an enzyme process is used to wash away contaminants, and the rest of the process is fully mechanized to minimize the impact on the environment. The pineapple fibers give the yarn a slightly rustic look and feel, without itching, while the Lyocell gives a subtle shine. The yarn is particularly suitable for lace patterns with eyes and is naturally breathable.
