Single Three-Session class with Tracy
Sundays, March 24th, April 7th, and 14th, 2:00 - 4:00PM
If you’ve always wanted to try knitting a pair of gloves, but the idea of knitting those teeny tiny fingers makes you nervous…then this class is for you! Our friend and innovative knitter Tracy has developed a pattern that makes the whole process so much fun and a lot easier!
The gloves are designed to be knit in one piece with no need to put stitches
on hold or seam other than using the 3-needle-bind-off. This pattern introduces a new cast-on technique, Tracy’s Magic Knitted Cast-On, which uses a knitted cast-on stitch done over 2 needles instead of just one. The garter stitch design of this glove also allows for some flexibility in sizing with customization of sizing done through adding or removing rows knit for width and stitches cast-on for length of fingers.
1st Session: Swatch will be used to determine pattern adjustments needed using pattern hand diagram. Cast-on and pinky.
2nd Session: TMKCO and German Short Rows. Ring and middle fingers.
3rd session: Index finger, thumb, and bind off.
