Beginning Knit

Beginning Crochet

Single-session, 60 minute classes:

Small group lessons limited to five students provide plenty of one-on-one instruction from our awesome teachers.

Daytime and evening sessions offered. Reserve your time and spot by paying online or in the shop.

Tuesday Sweater Workshop

Just $10 per project to participate!

Tuesdays, on-going, 2:00-4:00PM with Pam

For seasoned knitters who enjoy the companionship and inspiration of stitching with friends! This group selects a sweater pattern (or two....) to tackle together with guidance from Pam. New members always welcome;

Summer Into Fall Wrap

A single three-session class.

Tuesdays, September 11, 25, and October 2, 4:00PM with Pat

Pat has combined Yumiko Alexander's lovely pattern, “Lapis” and some user-friendly plant fibers to knit a rectangular wrap that will elegantly span the seasons. Come join her, learn new stitches, and flaunt your finished project!

Aranami Shawl

Learn the joys of modular knitting and creative color choices from our own published designer, Lisa!

Sassy Sheep Mitts

A single two-session class 
Sundays, September 23 and 30, 4:00PM with Beth
The Sheep Shuffle Mitts are a fun first stranded project, a cute gift for sheep and wool lovers, and a practical accessory for smartphone users. This project will teach you to read charts, and provide ample practice for colorwork that has you knitting with only two colors at a time.


Candy Corn Bags

A single three-session class.

Mondays, September 24 and October 1 and 8, 4:00PM with Elizabeth

If you've finished your first BEGINNER washcloth, this class is for you! Elizabeth will teach you to work in the round, switch colors, and even do a simple lace eyelet. At the end of the class you'll have a seasonal bag to use for treats of the candy or knitting variety!

Leafy Increases and Decreases

Friday September 28, 3:00PM with Pam 

Expand your knitting skills by learning different types of increases and decreases....all the while creating a cute leafy matt/coaster/potholder decoration! Great for beginners who want to learn new tricks and the more advanced, who want to make a bunch to keep on hand for decorations and gifts.

Beginner Socks

A single two-session class.
Sundays, October 7, 21, 28 4pm with Beth
This beginning sock class will provide you with all of the techniques you need for making longer socks, with the ease of larger gauge and a not-so-time-intensive project.

Modern Quilt Wrap KAL 

Introductory Session Friday, October 12, 12pm Rosemary

Explore the luxury of Rowan Kidsilk Haze as you learn the technique of mitered squares. Expert Rosemary will offer tips and cheer you on as you create your unique and wonderful accessory. (Pretty cool that this technique can also be used to create blankets, pillows, garments and fun and funky scarves, too!)

Join crochet designer Rohn Strong as he shares his skills to help you create your first crochet garment! The Baily Shirt is suitable for many different gauges and fiber contents, so Rohn will help you with the design, construction...and the create something beautiful and personally flattering. Bottom up construction, minimal seaming, and sleeve options will result in a strong, solid, stylish garment that will last for years!

Wednesdays, October 3, 10, 17, 24, 6:30PM with Rohn 
Learn how to crochet fabulous socks in this informative crochet class taught by crochet sock expert Rohn Strong. Everything you need to know to get started is right here in this one crochet class. We'll cover materials needed, construction of a sock, and the two most popular stitches for socks. Remember, if you can work a single crochet, you can crochet socks! This class will be suitable for someone with a basic knowledge of crochet, including single crochet in rows and in the round.

Have fun learning to crochet in a different way!!! Lisa will share the tips and techniques of free-form crochet based upon Prudence Mapstone's spiral techniques. You may discover a completely new way of stitching, and handmade jewelry makes EXCELLENT holiday gifts...


Tunisian Crochet with Rohn Strong

Thursdays, November 1, 8, 15, 2:00PM with Rohn

Interested in Tunisian Crochet, but heard it's too hard or intimidating? This class is for you! In each session we'll tackle a new and exciting stitch with projects that highlight each one: Session 1 will cover the Tunisian Simple Stitch with a basic headband. Session 2 will cover the Tunisian Knit Stitch with a simple and quick set of coasters, and Session 3 will cover the the Tunisian Full Stitch to make an easy washcloth.

Choose one, two, or all three sessions and take your Tunisian Crochet skills to the next level!

You've never seen mitts like these!!! Elizabeth will teach intermediate crocheters to make these fun and funky mitts using the popular crocodile stitch for interest! Even better in a self-striping yarn....great for gifts!!!

Join Pam in making this so pretty, so simple, so quick-to-stitch baby cardigan just in time for the holidays! The graceful stitches and soft, elegant, but washable yarn will become a sweet sweater that will delight crocheter, mom, and baby!
